Adding a Signature to Your posts

Adding a signature to your posts is super easy, and a nice way to personalize every tidbit of your blog! Adding a signature will place the signature on every post after you follow these directions. And as always remember to back up your template if you're nervous! To do so you'll need to create your signature using photo or graphic editing software. If you want the background on your signature to be transparent you'll need to save the file as a .png file. Otherwise, you can save it as a .jpg. Then upload the file to your favorite photosharing website online, and grab the URL. To add the file as a signature to your posts follow these steps: 1. Log in to your Blogger dashboard. 2. Click on "Layout". 3. Click on the "Template" tab. 4. Click on "Edit HTML". 5. Click the box next to "Expand Widget Templates". 6. Find this line of code: 7. Now hit the Enter key so you are now just below that code. (If your time stamp information is directly after it, hit enter inbetween the code above and the time stamp line enclosed by brackets.) 8. Paste this line of code into your HTML: 9. Change the capitalized SIGNATURE to the actual URL or DIRECT LINK for the image you want to use. 10. Preview your template. If you're happy with the result, save your work.

  1. Thank you so much for this tip. Every other tutorial I found on adding a signature did not work, but this time it worked! Yeah. Thanks.
